Over the Shape and Color of Love

While the themes that artists take up may be grandiose, the source of their creations may be surprisingly familiar. This is especially true of love and romance.

Picasso’s world-famous “Weeping Woman” was based on his mistress, Dora Maar, and Monet’s “Woman Walking with a Parasol” would not have been a masterpiece without his wife, Camille. To begin with, the theme of “lovers” has been a traditional one in the history of Western art.

In this article, we will take a look at how artists have added a modern essence to the universal themes of “love” and “lovers. I hope you will enjoy it.
